WBW: Wonder Woman
So... I'm not going to talk too much about my last post, but I'll update quickly to say that we did speak briefly, it was quite nice, and we'll have to wait and see where it goes from there.
Moving on to Way Back Wednesday: Wonder Woman!
Check out the video. It's the intro to season three, which was the final season of 78-79. I was 2 or so, so I must have watched the re-runs in the 80's, cos I can't imagine retaining anything much from TV in the 70's.
Alls I know is that I LOVED Wonder Woman, and sooooo wanted to be her. I had these cuffs I made in school and I used to run around like an idiot, pretending to be her. Also had a belt/lasso, which looked equally silly. And underoos... let's don't forget those monstrosities.

And, of course, I wanted to shag Lyle Waggoner, cos he was hawt as Steve Trevor. (I was such a perrvy little kid!) Anyone else who wanted to shag him? Anyone else who wanted to be Wonder Woman? Anyone else who used to spin around in the backyard like a fool, pretending to turn into her? Gawd, I wanted a pair of those boots!
Mmmm.. ok, maybe I'm the only one -- but I *know* you had underoos!
xx Isabella

9 Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest:
Wonder Woman!!! I had such a crush on her!!
Afraid Wonder Woman never did much for me. I hated the big pants :)
Steve - I think many boys did. ;)
Cake - I dunno. I was too young to notice how big her pants were. I'm You're a bit older so I guess it was more obvious to you. They do look a bit large, but that was the style in the 70s and 80s, and people were on the catwalk in similar dress!
Oh, my. Linda Carter. More of that, please.
Notice that she dives into the ocean, and when they show the close up, she's in a pool! Were audiences really that daft in the 70s??
GM - She was hot, right??
Anon - Welcome! And LMFAO, I didn't notice that before!
I loved Wonder Woman, but my friend from my writers' group REALLY loved WW. She too had homemade cuffs, etc. She nearly flipped when the Christmas card I sent her last year had a vintage drawing of WW, the Green Lantern and the Flash building a snowman.
I love her! Wish I still had those cuffs! :)
Never had the Underoos, but hell YES did I spin. In fact, lol, on our walks home from school, my sister and I would duck into the lilac bushes on a particular corner, spin like fools, then bend down the wire loop fencing at the next house with appropriate sound effects while Adam galloped along as Superman.
I'm sure the owners of the fence were pleased to straighten the loops every night when they got home from work ...
